The Road So Far...

A pleasant surprise. I felt a little off this week. A little discouraged. Little defeated. Little down. I really didn't expect a loss at all. I counted calories. I did my walking. I drank my water. But for some reason, I felt like it wasn't going to work. I'm happy to see I was wrong.

I guess my fiance gets to say, "I told you so". He's been incredibly encouraging. Every time I needed to lament about my perceived lack of progress, he was right there telling me I was doing the best I could. He reassured me. He calls me beautiful and says he loves me every chance he gets. I can't express how thankful I am to be blessed with this man's love. It's what keeps me disciplined on days when motivation wanes. I tend to doubt myself. I'll beat myself up over the slightest slip. But my fiance won't let me. He sees in me, something I can't always see. And when I don't, he's there to remind me. I was almost positive the scale wouldn't show a loss. I even worried it would show a gain. He was certain I was worried over nothing. Convinced I'd done what I was supposed to do. So, since the weigh in shows a loss, I'll let him have this "I told you so." He's more than earned it!

All my goals were met this week!

Coming up, we have Valentine's day. Big plans! We have some projects to work on. And lots of family fun to be had.
