Weigh In Wednesday 1/8/2020
Weigh in: 262.4 lbs
This week: - 4.6 lbs
Starting out strong! Now, I am aware that some of this could be water weight. But, as I said, I'm not solely relying on the scale for victories.
My daily calorie limit is 1,820. I successfully came in under that limit every day! In total, I was allowed 12,740 calories for the week. When I added up the calories I actually consumed, my total was 8,372.
I set a goal to go on a walk 3 times a week. I accomplished that goal within the first 3 days, and I added an extra 2 during the remaining 4 days. It was so nice to spend that time with my little family. Walking together. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
My goal to drink one bottle of water every day was also met and exceeded. Everyone has their own preferences. My fiance prefers room temperature water. I'm the complete opposite. My water has to have ice. If not, it has to be ice cold. Otherwise, I take forever to finish it. Luckily, my fiance has made sure to always have ice at the ready this week. I'm a lucky woman to have his support.
The biggest concern this week was my appointment with my doctor. I was prescribed a new medication for my anxiety and Fibromyalgia. It was a little scary. I was born with allergies to many different kinds of medications. It's always been a struggle to find one that won't cause a reaction. But I put my faith in God, and my doctor's research. It really does seem to be helping! I woke up the first morning after taking it, busy getting ready for a family trip. We got everyone dressed, made sure the animals were cared for, and grabbed what we needed. It wasn't until I sat down in the car that I realized, I wasn't feeling any pain. I had prayed every night for years, for a morning without pain. Here it was, and I hadn't noticed until I took a minute to slow down. The aches did come back that night. However, not nearly as severe or as constant. It's been a blessing so far.
Coming up this week, I have a blood test to check my levels. With Hashimoto's this is a regular occurrence. I'm hoping all the water I've been drinking will help the phlebotomist to get a good stick. My veins are extremely uncooperative. It takes a very talented phlebotomist to stick me on the first try. Let's hope! I also have some fun ideas to try this week. Possibly a new project, a new recipe, and a new activity!
So, until next time, I'm sending positive thoughts and good juju to you!
