The Road So Far...
I accomplished my goals this week! It did take a little extra oomph though. There were days I felt discouraged. Going from a 4 pound loss in the first week, to only a 1 pound loss the second was unnerving. I started to worry that something was slowing down my efforts. Possibly on the road to stopping progress altogether. Still, I found motivation in my family. Going for a walk together felt less like exercise and more like bonding. It also worked up a thirst, which led to drinking more water. Win-Win!
I did see my doctor on Monday for the blood test results. Thankfully, it added a little insight to the one pound losses. As it turns out, my thyroid levels are still a little on the low end. Starting today, my prescription had to be bumped up a smidge. It can take as many as 5 weeks for my body to adjust to the new dose, so we'll see if it makes a difference. My sodium was also a little low, but not enough to cause concern. Everything else came back normal. My A1c, a test for diabetes, came back well within the normal range. Yay! And for once in my life, I'm not anemic! Score! I've always been a little anemic. So that was a pleasant surprise.
Coming up in the next week, we have a fun family project! I will still be adjusting to the increase in synthetic thyroid hormone, so we'll be keeping an eye on that. And I'll start planning new goals for February.
Until next time, sending you positive thoughts and good juju!
